Kangana Ranaut calls Indian media ‘termites’, ‘traitors’ and ‘freeloaders’

Now in a recent development, Kangana Ranaut sister-manager Rangoli Chandel released a video where Kangana can be seen talking of the incident and the media.

On July 7, during a press event organised for her upcoming film "Judgementall Hai Kya", the actor lambasted a reporter for writing "dirty things" about her film "Manikarnika", which marked her directorial debut. Members of the Guild also demanded a public apology from both Kapoor and Ranaut, journalists present at the meeting said.

Ekta Kapoor had apologised to the media on Kangana's behalf and expressed regret for the untoward incident that transpired between Kangana and the journalist.

Now, the Entertainment Journalists' Guild of India has chose to boycott Kangana Ranaut, a delegation from the group told producer of film Judgementall Hai Kya, Ekta Kapoor on Tuesday, two days after the actor's spat with a PTI journalist at a promotional event. She even joined her hands and begged to the media to continue boycotting her as she would not tolerate that a particular section of the media would earn money because of her.

"If I was like, "Oh, it's gonna help to do this" - the fact is, I've already achieved more than I thought I could". For the unversed, the couple had announced their engagement in December 2017.

Kangana reiterated that her spat with the journalist at the press conference was only because he had ridiculed her and given her film "Manikarnika" bad press.

Her response arrives a day after the Entertainment Journalists Guild of India (EJG) announced a boycott against her. "A job of a journalist is to provide independent assessment of entertainment content; and critical commentary can not be reason enough to lose control, turn against the media and hurl expletives", the release said, adding that if necessary members of the club will take up the matter with "various associations of filmmakers". At the time of the release, Rao had asked Ranaut at a press conference about why the film was being released in Pakistan when Ranaut had criticised others for organising an event there. We have to see what the media has to tell about the movie. "She is a wonderful actor".

He said he met the actor briefly for an interview and there were no personal messages. She stopped him and accused him of running a "smear campaign" against her.
