Nintendo: Legend of Zelda sequel confirmed

If you want more from the 2017 Game of the Year-winner, Nintendo's The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, you're in luck. The first one is The Hero from Dragon Quest. Tongue-in-cheek action game No More Heroes 3, from Tokyo's Grasshopper Manufacture, was also announced for 2020. I'm sure the music is also being heavily dissected for clues, but I think it's worth remembering that the entire score of the last game was minimalist interpretations of classic Zelda themes, so this might just be the series new aesthetic. Leading the pack is a brand new Link's Awakening Link amiibo, carrying that game's art style and a sweet plastic shine.

Nintendo ended its E3 2019 Nintendo Direct with a bombshell announcement. The trailer showed Link and Zelda exploring a dungeon where a skeleton started to come to life.

Nintendo's statement leaves it open to calling this game something besides Breath of the Wild 2, though hasn't revealed an official name and there's very little story to suggest what it may be called in the end. The show wasn't exactly boring before that point - we got more information on several upcoming titles, such as Pokemon Sword & Shield, Animal Crossing New Horizons, and Luigi's Mansion 3.
