Klay Thompson leaves Oracle Arena on crutches

Thompson's season ended shortly before the Warriors', as the star guard reportedly suffered a torn ACL late in the third quarter of Golden State's NBA Finals Game 6 loss to the Toronto Raptors at Oracle Arena.

Thompson then came down hard on his left leg and immediately felt pain in his left knee, clutching his leg and his team-mates reactions said it all. Klay Thompson scores 30 points before having to leave the game with a left knee injury. After having witnessed Kevin Durant go down for the season with a ruptured Achilles in Game 5, fans and fellow National Basketball Association players feared the worst as Thompson went back to the locker room.

Throwing back the clock less than 48 hours ago, Klay Thompson had vouched for an injured Kevin Durant, calling him more than just a Splash Brother after the injured forward ruptured his Achilles tendon when hoping to return from a month-long calf injury.

So he emerged from the tunnel, took his free throws and made both.
