Disturbing video shows elderly man pushed off bus, dies from injuries

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department has released security video of a 74-year-old man with a walker being pushed off a public transit bus on the heels of a woman being charged with murder.

Las Vegas police determined that the suspect was arguing with passengers on the bus and as the elderly man tried to get off, she shoved him off the bus onto the ground.

Serge Fournier was shoved from a bus in Las Vegas and died of his head injuries in hospital a just over a month later.

The Las Vegas Sun reported Bishop was identified thanks to a unique emblem on her jacket and a Spider-Man backpack carried by her son, who was on the bus with her.

The victim, identified as 74-year-old Serge Fournier, was left hospitalized.

No tsunami threat after power quake hits PNG
Geological Survey put the magnitude at 7.5, down from an initial estimate of 7.7 from the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center . New Zealand is not at risk of any tsunami following a power quake which hit Papua New Guinea earlier this morning.

The video, which did not include sound, showed Fournier speaking to Bishop, then getting behind him and - as the bus stopped and the exit door opened - allegedly shoving him with both hands off the bus. Although he refused medical attention at the scene, Fournier arrived at the University Medical Center later that evening, police said.

His friend Trevor Taylor told the news station Mr Fournier was a "wonderful person".

"No matter what his age, she should not have done that. People need a little more patience than what they have these days", said Taylor. On May 3, his family notified detectives of his death, at which point authorities ruled it a homicide. The cause of death was described as complications from blunt force trauma to the torso. Police officials believe that Bishop had been yelling profanities at people on the bus.

A judge has ordered Bishop be held on $100,000 bail pending a preliminary hearing of evidence on May 21.
