Prince Harry & Meghan Markle Break Another Royal Tradition with Private Birth Plan

Prince Harry and Duchess Meghanannounced through Buckingham Palace that they meant to keep information about Baby Sussex's birth, including where the baby will be born, private.

Meghan, Duchess of Sussex has made a habit of modernizing Britain's royal family - but the upcoming birth of her first child is set to overturn today's norms, harking back instead to the Windsor clan's past.

Palace insiders brush off the shakeup as a natural progression of adult siblings and a chance for Harry and his new wife Meghan Markle to escape the "claustrophobic" life in London.

The couple today announced that they are to keep the details about the arrangements for the birth of their baby private. Only one photographer, one reporter, and one TV camera will be present.

Sounds like the soon-to-be parents don't want themselves, or their new arrival, to be overwhelmed with press. Plus, we can't blame them for wanting to enjoy this huge moment privately for a bit.

Besides, Harry and Meg are blessed with a little more freedom than Will and Kate as far as living their lives on their own terms goes, so we really shouldn't be all that surprised that they've chosen to forgo tradition yet again.

"Their Royal Highnesses have taken a personal decision to keep the plans around the arrival of their baby private", the statement said.

While Markle and Prince Harry have remained quiet on the sex and name of their baby, royal onlookers are confident they are having a girl.

They said in their statement they were grateful for the goodwill messages they had received from around the world.
