Fire rips through mobile showers at Coachella music festival in California

The 2019 Coachella festival kicked off last night, and already there seemed to have been some nearly deadly issues for concertgoers as a fire broke out on the campgrounds.

Firefighters were called to the Empire Polo Grounds in Indio, the venue of the music festival, at 2:05 a.m., about an after hour after the last performance of the night. Campers said they heard "explosion sounds". It occurred in a storage area of Lot 8 in the 81000 block of Avenue 51, the agency said. Following reports, the Riverside County Fire Department arrived to the scene around 2 a.m. and contained the fire by 2:28 a.m.

One person was reportedly seen escaping the fire as it built up around the campsite showers. As the authorities reported, four vehicles were dispatched to the scene.
