Zampa puts India in a spin as Australia seal stunning series win

Australia beat India by 35 runs in the fifth one-day worldwide in Delhi to complete their comeback from 2-0 down and win the five-match series 3-2.

Australia were 2-0 down in the five-match ODI series after which they came back into the game and snatched the series from India's mouth to win it by 3-2.

Despite Kohli assuring the reporters, former India opening batsman Gautam Gambhir has expressed his concerns about India's Playing XI for the looming ICC Cricket World Cup 2019. Former Indian cricketer Gautam Gambhir is of the view that the team still has a few things to get in order and that getting MS Dhoni back in the line-up is not all that they need. Also in question was the batting depth that the Men in Blue possess, which again led to many experts questioning the team combination.

India captain Virat Kohli was full of praise for the visiting side.

- Usman Khawaja became the first Australian player to score two centuries against India in a bilateral ODI series. Rishabh Pant was tried out at no.4, Bhuvneshwar Kumar was expected to add depth to batting and he did well to score 46 with the bat in a stiff chase. We know where we are going.

Kedar Jadhav (44) and Bhuvneshwar Kumar (46) threatened to deny Australia with a 91-run partnership, but Pat Cummins and Jhye Richardson removed them in successive balls and India ultimately fell some way short on 237 all out, losing their last wicket to the final ball of the innings.

"Just probably one spot in the team that we have to discuss, and the rest of the team is pretty much sorted for us and we have been feeling pretty much balanced", Kohli was quoted as saying during the post-match presentation ceremony last night.

Australia elected to bat first after winning the toss and appeared to be on course to top 300 for a third game running, as Khawaja cruised towards an elegant hundred - sharing in 76 and 99-run stands for the first and second wickets with Aaron Finch (27) and Peter Handscomb (52), who followed up his maiden ODI hundred in Saturday's fourth ODI with a further fifty.

"I can guarantee this that this isn't India's best playing XI". Virat Kohli had said that this is India's most likely playing XI for World Cup. But this playing XI does not give you enough confidence.
