Royal baby birth imminent? Meghan Markle ‘starts maternity leave’

In a statement released on Thursday afternoon, Buckingham Palace revealed: "The Queen has agreed to the creation of a new Household for The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, following their marriage in May past year".

It was reported the split just involved a move to different locations as Markle and her husband are set to the cottage, ahead of the arrival of their first child due sometime in spring.

It will coincide with the move of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to Frogmore Cottage in Windsor before their baby arrives.

A royal expert has come out swinging, making a shocking claim that Meghan Markle is a "difficult person" who is making Prince Harry "miserable and glum".

'The Duke of Sussex now has his own private office, which has been supporting the Duchess since Their Royal Highness's engagement in November 2017. The Queen has already given permission for the new office to be based at Buckingham Palace.

The couple's official office is now based at Kensington Palace, where Harry's elder brother Prince William lives with his family.

The Sussexes and Cambridges' current communications head Jason Knauf will stay with the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, but become their senior adviser.

The DUP was equally unimpressed, with Nigel Dodds, its deputy leader, calling the proposal "neither realistic nor sensible". The Daily Mirror says Mrs May's defeat was "humiliating" and her authority has been left "in tatters".

Reports of the royal households splitting began circulating late a year ago, with commentators explaining that Meghan's entrance into the Royal Family had changed the young royals' working dynamic.

Their new communications staff will be part of the Buckingham Palace communications team, reporting to the Queen's Communications Secretary Donal McCade.

Some might interpret this news as evidence of the oft-rumoured "rift" between the young royals, but as the palace statement explains, it's simply business. "She'll be preparing for her maternity leave", the source added.

"She said, 'We are excited".

"However, every time you see a picture of him with the lads and doing something else, it is all smiles and laughter". "They have a very clear idea of what they want to do and the instructions from the top and, of course, that comes from Prince William at Kensington Palace, they don't want others treading".
