Jordan Howard #24 of the Chicago Bears is hit by Ha Ha Clinton-Dix #21 of the Green Bay Packers as he scores a touchdown in the 4th quarter at Soldier Field on December 18, 2016 in Chicago, Illinois.

Former Green Bay Packers star Ha Ha Clinton-Dix reportedly agreed to a one-year deal with the Chicago Bears.

Jussie Smollett pleads not guilty to lying about attack
Smollett's arraignment hearing followed the midseason premiere of " Empire ", which resumed Wednesday. Smollett's attorneys said they have no statement at this time.

This deal is phenomenal for both sides. Clinton-Dix and Jackson will be teammates again in Chicago, where Jackson earned first-team All-Pro recognition at safety during the 2018 season.

Clinton-Dix is a five-year National Football League veteran who spent the majority of his career in Green Bay before being traded in the middle of last season to the Redskins. He'll join forces with All-Pro safety Eddie Jackson to form the new safety tandem for Chuck Pagano's defense with the Bears. His extensive experience within the division could prove invaluable when it comes to knowing opposing quarterbacks and coaches' tendencies.

Despite the popular opinion that Clinton-Dix's play deteriorated after the trade to the Redskins previous year, his Pro Football Focus grade of 79.3 was actually the best of his career, and 17th-best among safeties in the NFL.
