James Harden continues scoring streak, Russell Westbrook gets another triple-double

Russell Westbrook equalled Wilt Chamberlain's National Basketball Association record of nine consecutive triple-doubles with 21 points, 12 rebounds and 11 assists.

Despite a poor shooting night (8-of-21 FG), Westbrook finished with 21 points, 12 rebounds and 11 assists, coming up with two clutch layups down the stretch.

His ninth straight triple-double - reaching double figures in three key statistical categories - matched the record set by Wilt Chamberlain in 1968.

Montrezl Harrell led Los Angeles with 21 points off the bench, and Danilo Gallinari had 19 points and 10 rebounds.

On Saturday, George helped the Thunder to another huge comeback.

"Actually, I'd been seeing it all game", Westbrook said, "so just waiting on the right time to use it".

The Rockets' James Harden totaled 42 points - his 29th consecutive game with at least 30 - but he missed a contested three-pointer after Russell Westbrook pushed the Thunder ahead. Harden was 11-for-28 from the field, going 6 of 16 from 3-point range, and made 14 of 15 free throws. The lead changed hands seven times in the fourth quarter, with Russell Westbrook's layup with 26.9 seconds left in regulation putting Oklahoma City up for good.

Paul scored 47.5 FanDuel points in the loss.

Instead, Paul George made two free-throws down the other end to ice the 117-112 win at the Toyota Center in Houston on Sunday.

Thunder overcame a franchise-high 26-point deficit to beat the Rockets.

There have been closer games this season and even bigger performances-mostly from Harden-but this game was about as interesting as anyone could have possibly imagined.

"It's not even surprising no more", Thunder guard Terrance Ferguson told ESPN of Westbrook's feat.
