Angel Di Maria reacts to being booed by fans during PSG clash

United have been charged with the throwing of objects by fans and blocking of stairways.

After PSG scored, Di Maria was spotted intensely celebrating at the crowd - mouthing the words "f*** o**".

Di Maria was booed upon arrival in Manchester, a welcome that worsened as the game began as a PSG side, minus Edinson Cavani and Neymar, took on a United team riding an eleven-game unbeaten run. He showed no lack of desire in getting to the ball but it was noticeable that he was often being shadowed by Marquinhos whenever United were in possession, a clear sign of PSG head coach Thomas Tuchel attempting to shackle the World Cup victor. He was a bit nervous and needed to be calmer in the first-half.

Prior to the goals, Di Maria was waiting to take a corner in the first half and several bottles were thrown in his direction - the Argentine reacting by picking one up and pretending to drink from it.

United fans would not have enjoyed their former playing having such a good return to life at Old Trafford, he certainly didn't look capable of such nights when he was playing for them.

The celebration seemed to rub the Old Trafford crowd up the wrong way, and minutes later, a beer bottle was thrown onto the pitch around where the 30-year-old was stood.

United's captain for the night was incredibly luck to not get a second yellow card for his actions, which you can see below.

Di Maria stayed down for an extended period of time while players argued with each other and complained to the referee Daniele Orsato. While he did showcase glimpses of his huge quality, Di Maria wasn't able to do it on a consistent basis.

"But thanks to God, I was able to come to PSG and be myself again", the former Real Madrid superstar said, as quoted by The Sun. There are still 90 minutes left.
