Why Batshuayi's Return to Chelsea Could be a Good Thing

Earlier, Legit.ng reported that Michy Batshuayi is now set for Chelsea return after being slammed by Valencia coach Marcelino Toral over poor performances.

VALENCIA and Chelsea have come to terms with the cancelling of Michy Batshuayi loan deal which was supposed to run until the end of the season.

Batshuayi thrived on loan at Borussia Dortmund during the second half of last season, scoring seven goals in nine Bundesliga appearances before his time at the club was ended by an ankle injury.

Batshuayi joined Chelsea from Marseille for £33million in July 2016, becoming the first signing in Antonio Conte's reign.

This was disclosed by Valencia's sporting director, Mateu Alemany on Thursday.

"Batshuayi's situation is very clear".

Everton, who already have defender Kurt Zouma on loan from Stamford Bridge, cannot take Batshuayi on loan due to restrictions on the numbers of players one club can have from another.

'We are expecting an exit in the next few hours or days'. "I've played with him and I know what he could do. He is leaving and it's now a matter of negotiation". At 25-years-old, Batshuayi is still young and has plenty of quality.

There has been no indication from Chelsea that they want to keep hold of him, despite the club's striker struggles with Alvaro Morata and Olivier Giroud.

With Everton now sitting 11th in the Premier League, manager Marco Silva may look towards the Chelsea outcast for some more firepower to help the Toffees towards a strong finish to the campaign.
