MS Dhoni still a key player for India

MS Dhoni still a key player for India

"There will be one or two changes, keeping in mind the form and injury concerns over the next few months", Rohit said ahead of India's first ODI against Australia at Sydney on Saturday. "But more or less you will see the same squad playing the World Cup".

The "red ball boys" are still savouring the sweet aftertaste of a maiden Test series win in Australia but for the "white ball specialists", including veteran MS Dhoni, it was business as usual as they hit the straps at SCG on Wednesday.

The captain also said that although they are waiting for the verdict to come out, it does not change the way the Indian team thinks and plays the sport.

"It's just an opportunity to see Alex play in a position he's done quite bit in Big Bash and one-day cricket", Finch told reporters on Friday, where he added that Peter Siddle would make his return to ODI cricket for the first time in eight years. Everything will depend on the form of each player, nobody is guaranteed that flight to England. "I can definitely say that as the Indian cricket team and responsible cricketers we definitely don't align with those views and those are purely individual views".

November Retail Sales Beat Forecast
The food and beverage industry's monthly sales grew by 1.7 per cent, on a seasonally adjusted basis. Even after motor vehicles were taken out of the picture, sales were still down by 0.2 per cent.

Australia will be missing the services of Mitchell Starc, Josh Hazlewood and Pat Cummins in the ODI series but Rohit said, like in 2016, the home side still has good enough bowlers to pose problems to Indian batsmen in their absence. "He has played a massive role ever since the time he has left captaincy", he added.

"They've got a bowling line-up who can put us under pressure without a doubt".

"So him being around for India is always helpful. Also with the bat. down the order, getting through that finishing line is very, very important", Rohit said.

'With him being around there's a sense of calmness around the group which is very important. "Chahal and Kuldeep are both doing really well so somebody like Dhoni standing behind the stumps and helping those guys about what the batsman is trying to do, it makes a huge difference I think. He's helped the captain a lot in the field as well".
