Kyler Murray Wants $15 Million To Play For The Oakland A’s

The A's allowed him to return to the University of Oklahoma, where he put up historic numbers at quarterback and won the Heisman.

Murray, agent Scott Boras and A's reps all met together in Dallas on Sunday to explore a potential deal, according to Slusser. The A's drafted Murray in the first round of the 2018 Major League Baseball draft in June.

If there was any doubt, there shouldn't be: Kyler Murray has the attention of Major League Baseball.

The more interesting deadline is February 15 - the day Murray is supposed to report to the A's for the start spring training.

Why The Craft Brewing Industry Is Stalled Amid The Government Shutdown
Craft breweries are in fierce competition with each other for innovative new beers. As for Gift Horse, Snyder says they shouldn't lose much money. if any at all.

Murray's contract gave him $4.8 million in bonus money from being taken ninth, which means he's guaranteed to have that coming in, but there's now a near consensus that he will be a late first round pick in the upcoming NFL Draft.

There is, however, no possibility that Murray could play both football and baseball in the same year. The NFL combine begins February 26.

If Murray were to head to the National Football League, he would have to repay the bonus to the Athletics. Whatever sport he chooses, Murray, 21, will need to begin training for it sooner than later. Murray would have four options, meaning he would need to join the A's full-time at latest by the 2022 season, though Oakland intends to aggressively promote Murray. While it's totally understandable for Murray to use that leverage to get more money, it's unclear if the A's could even pay Murray more if they wanted to. At 5-foot-9, he would be the shortest quarterback in the National Football League since Doug Flutie, at 5-10. A report last week said the Athletics believe he will declare for the draft Sunday. And the A's now have a choice to make.
