Federer shares shock at Murray's retirement, discusses end of his own career

An emotional Murray admitted on Friday that his time as a professional is almost up due to the pain he still suffers, and revealed his hope to bow out at his home grand slam in the summer.

"It is a similar feel to drawing Kevin Anderson in the first round past year, but I was in a good place and managed to come through in the fifth set".

"But that's life. Seems like he has not (had) a very long career because today players are playing that long". But when somebody like him, he achieved nearly everything in his tennis career, is suffering like he's doing for such a long time already, and you feel that you are not competitive for the thing that really makes you wake up every morning and go on court with the passion to practise, to improve, and with a goal, then it is so hard.

Speaking to Andrew Castle, he said: "His drive was phenomenal".

It has been suggested that a hip replacement would be beneficial for the three-time grand slam champion, but O'Donnell added: "Andy has tried really hard and explored every option that has any real possibility of being helpful".

"And I think she's fitter now. That won't happen now".

Andy Murray's former coach says the tennis champion would want to retire from the sport at Wimbledon, after admitting the Australian Open could be his final tournament.

The ATP players council, headed by Djokovic, met in Melbourne on Saturday and reportedly voted 5-4 against Kermode continuing in his role.

"You need to make yourself feel alive, you know?" he said.

Jeff Bezos Reportedly Sexted, Sent 'D*ckpics' to His Mistress Behind Wife's Back
On June 1, 2018, he sent a loving message that read: "You know what I want?" "I want to smell you, I want to breathe you in". Bezos and MacKenzie announced their separation in a joint statement this week .

Djokovic posted a tribute on Instagram to a man he has known since they first faced each other as 13-year-olds in 2001, concluding: "Whatever happens, I will always cherish our unbelievable matches over the years and be grateful for those experiences". His birthday is one week before mine. We played lots of epic matches in the professional circuit.

Former world number one Murray is being forced out with a hip problem and a body wracked with pain - and Federer is desperate to go out on his own terms.

"I haven't seen her play a match, so I don't really know", Wozniacki responded when quizzed about the American's form.

"Nick plays Milos Raonic, that'll be a ding-dong serving affair, definitely not easy for either player, and trust me, Milos would not have wanted to get Nick first round". But it was for a good cause.

Djokovic closed out last season magnificently, making an astonishing climb back from outside the world's top 20 in June, winning Wimbledon and the US Open on the way to reclaiming the number one ranking in November.

"But we're going to lose everybody at some point".

Ageless Roger Federer said on Sunday he was in a confident mood and warned his rivals he was "playing good tennis" as he aims for a third successive Australian Open title.

"The way I've been going with my fitness and continuing to get that better, I'm pleased about". It's going to be uncomfortable.

Even after another Federer undefeated Hopman Cup campaign and a crushing victory over world No.4 Alexander Zverev - the German leading the next-gen challenge of trying to end the big three's grand slam domination - the great Swiss insists Djokovic is again the man to beat in Melbourne.
