Eventually, the snow will come to an end for good Saturday evening around 8 p.m.

Snow arrived in the region Saturday evening, and meteorologists revised their predictions upward and now foresee 4 to 8 inches of accumulation in Central Maryland. As temperatures drop into the upper 20s to lower 30s overnight, rain will transition into snow as we head into Monday. Sunday's forecast shows a 30 percent chance of snow, then it changes later in the day to a possible rain/snow mix, with a high of 33 and a low of 22. Snow moves into southwestern IN late tonight, and it will be closer to 11 p.m. or midnight before we really start to see some steady snow showers IN south central Indiana.

Total snowfall of 7 to 9 inches is expected to occur along and south of a Rushville to Lincoln to Danville line, with 5 to 7 inches of snow expected north of this line. At times, snowfall rates could reach 1"-2" per hour. For Saturday, the snow will gradually become more scattered into the afternoon. Highs back to the mid-30s.
