Arsenal favourites to sign 25-year-old Belgium star

A Belgian football expert does not believe that Manchester United and Arsenal are interested in Yannick Carrasco.

Arsenal have been a mixed bag this season under Unai Emery and although they deserve massive credit for keeping in touch with the top four, the Spaniard still needs to address a lot of problems in the ongoing January transfer window.

But Sky Sport Italia claim (via 101greatgoals) Arsenal have made initial contact with the Belgian global, who has given his "approval" to the move.

"A transfer will be expensive (wages & fee) and is he physically ready to make an immediate impact in the PL?"

Carrasco left Atletico Madrid in February of previous year to make a move Chinese side Dalian Yifang, but it's looking increasingly likely that he'll be moving away from China less than 12 months after arriving in the country.

Gregg Williams was promoted to interim head coach , while Kitchens was bumped to offensive coordinator. Kitchens and Austin coached together in Arizona from 2007-2009 where he was the defensive back's coach.

And he insists Arsenal HAVE been offered the Belgium global. Furthermore, it has been reported that Carrasco is looking at the possibility of taking a pay cut on his current wages of €10million-a-year (£173,000-a-week) to move back to Europe.

And if we consider Mesut Ozil's dismal campaign, it goes without saying that Arsenal are in desperate need of some attacking reinforcements this January and Ferreira Carrasco seems like a smart choice.

AC Milan are another club who could secure his signature.

But Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side have bigger issues in defence.

But whether the San Siro outfit are able to convince him to join remains to be seen.
