OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition details leak out ahead of reveal

OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition details leak out ahead of reveal

As part of the partnership, the two companies will hold a "Salute to Speed" launch event on December 11th in the U.K. According to MySmartPrice, the McLaren OnePlus 6T will be exclusive to England and India.

There's no word on price, but OnePlus has promised that there will be more news coming out of a special event at the McLaren's Woking test centre on 11th December. OnePlus had earlier partnered with entertainment centric brands like Disney and Marvel to launch Star Wars edition OnePlus 5T and the Avengers edition OnePlus 6 respectively. The highest model of the OnePlus 6T is priced at Rs. 45,999 in India. Essentially, we're looking at a more capable OnePlus 6T, but only slightly so. While the 256GB storage option is available on other OnePlus 6T variants, the 10GB RAM is a first for OnePlus.

The OnePlus 6T with 8GB RAM already has a variant with 256GB internal storage. With that in mind, we're expecting the main selling point of this handset to be its design. As always, take what you read here with a grain of salt, as nothing is necessarily set in stone until OnePlus makes it official. That phone, the 8GB/256GB OnePlus 6T, costs $629, which means the McLaren should be even more expensive. Instead of 8GB, the Mclaren phone will rock 10GB of RAM, MySmartPrice has learned. In practice, the extra 2GB of RAM probably won't make the 6T significantly faster than it already is, as it's already one of the fastest smartphones on the market.

Argument For: Well, canceling three shows back-to-back-to-back is a pretty good argument for this era being on life support. Thank you for three fantastic seasons and for everyone's hard work to all the characters you helped bringing to life.

OnePlus keeps refreshing its flagship smartphones with special editions.

If history is any indication, we'll see OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition with some thoughtful customisations that will reminisce the essence of the British automotive brand.
