5G Galaxy S10 all but confirmed for Verizon

In this, we can see Huawei Nova 4 has a striking resemblance to the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S10, if we go by its leaked renders, too.

Samsung will launch its first phone with an in-display camera on December 10, according to an official teaser. Now, both companies have revealed the launch dates for their smartphones and it looks like Samsung will be the first to hog the spotlight.

Huawei is about to release their new all-screen smartphone that has a cut-out-hole for the front camera.

The announcement by the companies may point to a 5G-capable Galaxy S10 that would be exclusive to Verizon. The display hole carries a pill-shaped form factor stacked horizontally comprising of the circular holes for the placement of the dual front cameras on the device. Coming out of nowhere was the Huawei Nova 4, which led everyone to believe Huawei will be the first to announce such a phone. And soon after Huawei, Samsung also confirmed the launch date of its Galaxy A8s handset to be December 10.

Samsung, which was expected to be the first smartphone maker to unveil a foldable smartphone was beaten by Royole, a startup that launched the FlexPai, a foldable smartphone. One can see the display cut-out for an In-display camera placed to the top-left corner. On the processor side, the device is expected to rock a Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 SoC paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. Samsung's Galaxy A8 also boasts similar features, of course, with inclusion of Infinity-O display.

For photography, the Galaxy A8s will reportedly feature a triple camera setup at the rear. As for the Huawei Nova 4, there's no way of telling if it will ever reach the United States. So far, 2018 has been the year of the notch for smartphones but there are indications that 2019 may be the year of the hole punch for mobile phones.

Display-wise, a 6.44-inch, 1440 x 2960 pixel Super AMOLED looks to be in the mix, with a 511 PPI density. To be backed by a 3400 mAh battery, the smartphone will also support USB Type C port. Weeks back, there were rumors on this phone but we now know that it is the next release in the Nova series, which has brought some solid devices in the past.

Tom Brady, New England Patriots quarterback, hits 1,000-yard rushing milestone
