Saints signing Dez Bryant is all about the playoffs

After months on the market, the free-agent wide receiver has signed a one-year contract with the Saints, NFL Media reported Wednesday, citing sources. The Saints are scheduled to play the Cowboys in AT&T Stadium in primetime on Thursday night, November 29th in a Week 13 matchup.

"Listen, Dez Bryant has been a hell of a player in this league for a long time". As if opposing defenders didn't already have their hands full with Drew Brees, Michael Thomas, Alvin Kamara and Mark Ingram, now they'll have to deal with Bryant, who better make up for the tweet by performing well with his new team.

The Dez Bryant-Dallas Cowboys reunion that many were hoping to see simply never worked out. I look forward to building a rapport with him.

Bryant, 30, spent his entire eight-year career in Dallas before being cut by the Cowboys in mid-April.

An adorable preschooler invading a live shot is a better way to go viral than getting whacked in the face by a flying football. Although he'll take a backseat to Thomas, there's a major opportunity due to the lack of depth at receiver on the Saints now. Veteran Ted Ginn Jr.is on injured reserve with a knee injury. Bryant also took a shot at the team in July where he ripped multiple people, including coach Jason Garrett, for running a "garbage ass" offense.

Bryant now enhances what was already a very risky Saints offense, giving them one of the NFL's best red zone weapons since he came into the league in 2010.

He still must learn one of the league's most complex offenses, but with so many playmakers around him, all the Saints should require on a weekly basis the rest of the season is for Bryant to be able to beat either a team's second or third cornerback.

"It's big for him, man", Crawford said, via PFT. "That has nothing to do with how the other guys are playing". "It seems like a real good opportunity for him and I know it'll help their team".
