"He. took a jump into a pond infested with big crocodiles", Aiple said.

The man allegedly broke into St Augustine Alligator Farm in Florida to pull the insane stunt.

"Hatfield is seen climbing a structure at the Nile Crocodile enclosure and jumping into a pool occupied by crocodiles", St. Augustine police officials said in a statement.

Still images of the incident showed Welbeck's right ankle caught underneath him in an awkward position as his body went to ground. Arsenal said in a statement that 27-year-old Welbeck would continue to be assessed.

Cops were called to the scene - and said a man with bleeding bite wounds had been found in his boxer shorts nearby.

"We got somebody who told us they were bitten by an alligator".

"He jumped off a 5- to 6-foot structure into about 2 feet of water, then climbed up on the 20-foot structure later, which we know from the blood trail", Brueggen said. St. Augustine Police arrested Brandon Hatfield, 23, and he is facing charges of burglary, criminal mischief and violation of probation. When he sits on the bank of the pool, the "crocodile locks onto his left foot". He caused about $5,000 worth of damage and is being held without bond.

Hatfield did not immediately respond to an ABC News request for comment, and police officials said they were not aware of any attorney retained by him.
