Election Day incentives: Get FREE Shake Shack fries, coffee and more

Not being able to get to the polls is no longer a valid excuse for skipping out on participating in democracy, as a handful of ride-hailing, biking and even local public transportation organizations are offering free or reduced rides on Election Day.

CitiBike, a bike-sharing program in New York City, is offering free day passes on Election Day with the code BIKETOVOTE in the Citi Bike app.

Show up to the sandwich shop and ask for a cookie and you'll get one for free. As for savory deals, Shake Shack will complement your meal with a side of crinkle cut fries if you show an "I Voted" sticker at the counter or input the code "ivoted" on the Shack app. Use the code "VOTEMD2018".

Ecclesia Coffee Shop, 7130 W. Maple: Get 50 cents off drinks all day with a sticker.

Knolla's Pizza, several Wichita locations: Get a free cooking with a sticker.

Corner Bakery Cafe: Free hot or cold brewed coffee with any purchase and sticker Tuesday.

Palm Beach Zoo: Get free entry with a voting sticker on Tuesday.

Some voters in Lafayette did receive the more traditional "I Voted" stickers, but many early voters did not.

Emerson Biggins Old Town, 808 E. Douglas: People wearing stickers get half-price burgers and half-price appetizers all day.

The secretary of state's office said in a Twitter message that "budgetary constraints" prevented the office from providing the stickers for Tuesday's voting.

There will also be a Party at the Polls at O'Donnell Square Park from 4 p.m.to 7 p.m.

Free rides to vote: Uber, Lyft, Lime scooters, Zipcar and others are offering free and discounted rides to the polls.

Pratt Street Ale House will have an extended happy hour until close.
