Alex Cora, Red Sox Arrive In Puerto Rico For World Series Celebration

The Red Sox visited Puerto Rico in January and delivered almost 10 tons of supplies to aid Hurricane Maria recovery efforts.

Addressing reporters Thursday at Fenway Park, Cora said he respects the president and will abide by whatever decision the team makes. Alex Cora achieved the feat in his rookie season as manager, becoming the first Puerto Rican manager to win a Fall Classic.

Red Sox manager Alex Cora brought the World Series trophy to his home of Puerto Rico on Saturday, receiving a warm welcome from fans in his hometown of Caguas.

Larry Drew struggling to find right combination for Cavs
Drew was the associate head coach on Ty Lue's staff, and had been coaching the team since Lue's firing just over a week ago. The Cavs dropped to 1-8 on the season on Saturday night, getting blown out by the Charlotte Hornets, 126-94.

This isn't LeBron James calling Trump a "bum" or the Golden State Warriors getting uninvited, but after the Red Sox won Game 5, Cora put off the question. "The next thing I'll do is asking management to allow me to take this trophy with me to my island", Cora said. "Whatever we decide is going to be respected".

Caguas Mayor William Miranda Torres will meet the Red Sox when their team-themed JetBlue plane lands in San Juan Puerto Rico and escort them to Caguas. And if we decide to go, I will use my platform the right way. And I know he helped our country [Puerto Rico]. So whenever we have to make the decision we'll make it. They've got some time.
