They've just announced that they're about to become parents, and Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were a hit with Aussie kids on the first day of their tour of Australia, New Zealand, Tonga and Fiji.

Meghan's mom, Doria Ragland, added to ET in a statement: "Ms. Ragland is very happy about this lovely news, and she looks forward to welcoming her first grandchild".

Australia's Prime Minister, Scott Morrison, was among the first world leaders to congratulate Prince Harry and his American wife Meghan on their baby news.

On a trip to Belfast less than two months before she married Harry in May, the former actress joked when she was shown an innovative range for newborns: "I'm sure at some point we'll need the whole (lot)".

Knowing Meghan and her affinity for bending Royal rules, I'm not so certain this will be the case.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex held the first engagement of their first Australian tour at Admiralty House in Sydney on Tuesday morning. With Meghan's darker features mixed with Harry's lighter ones, Joe predicts that a baby girl would have dark hair and brown eyes, while a boy would have lighter brown hair and blue eyes.

The trip is the first global tour for the Duke and Duchess since they were married, apart from a two-day visit to Ireland.

"Thank you, that's so sweet", the duchess said on receiving the toy.

Kensington Palace said there would be no change to the couple's visit, despite travel advice that pregnant women should not travel to Fiji and Tonga because of the moderate Zika virus risk.

The baby will be seventh-in-line to the British throne, Reuters UK reported.

It's been a busy few days for Harry and Meghan; they attended the royal wedding of Harry's cousin Princess Eugenie on Friday before flying out to Australia. "It's our first baby gift".

The bookies' instant pick was Diana - the name of the late princess who was mother to both Prince Harry and his older brother Prince William - along with Arthur and Alice.

"Harry and Meghan have taken medical advice from doctors back in the United Kingdom about the risk of Zika in Fiji and Tonga, and they have decided on that medical advice that they will carry on, and nothing will change", Nikkhah told CBS News.
