Les Moonves Has Reached a Settlement to Leave CBS

Sources told CNN that the settlement is meant to resolve months of legal battles between Moonves and Shari Redstone, the controlling shareholder of CBS.

Moonves and Redstone were locked in a tug of war even before July 27, when Ronan Farrow first reported on alleged harassment by Moonves.

Farrow's story Sunday seemed to be enough evidence needed from the CBS board. CBS had reportedly hired two law firms to investigate prior claims against Moonves, who will be exiting the company before the investigation concludes. Now that the exit deal is being finalized, he is expected to step down before the investigations are completed. She and Moonves worked together at Lorimar-Telepictures. CBS and controlling shareholder National Amusements Inc. didn't have immediate comments on Sunday.

She claims the incidents took place in the 1980s when she was a highly placed entertainment industry executive but still, she has written, subservient to the men in positions of power. "We will accept nothing less than full transparency of the investigation's findings, a commitment to real change across all levels of CBS management and no reward for Les Moonves".

Moonves kept a relatively low profile in August, but remained in charge of the broadcasting behemoth.

The board wants conditions to recover some of the money if the allegations are confirmed, CNBC reported, though it is not clear whether there were conditions for a similar claw-back if more accusers stepped forward. In a statement, Moonves responded to the allegations by claiming that all the mentioned incidences were consensual.

Golden-Gottlieb says she tried to avoid being alone with Moonves, but one day he allegedly exposed himself to her in his office, causing her to run out. "It includes a case that resulted in a criminal investigation".

Robert Mugabe addresses members of the press at his home Blue House in Harare , Zimbabwe, a day before the polls. Grace Mugabe prior to Robert Mugabe's exit was considered a rival to President Mnangagwa.

He said he had consensual relations with three of the women named by The New Yorker "some 25 years ago before I came to CBS". "And I have never used my position to hinder the advancement or careers of women", Moonves said in a statement, according to the New Yorker.

Farrow had a different explanation. "And that really is integral to what prompted this followup story".

Farrow indicated that CBS has been aware of the new allegations for at least several days.

EW has reached out to CBS for comment about the remarks from Time's Up, Bloom, and Griffin.

First reported by CNN's Brian Stetler on Sunday morning, Moonves' official announcement should come Sunday night or Monday morning, according to sources. "It's completely disgusting", Pallingston said about the possible $100 million settlement.

Six more women have made bone-chilling allegations of abuse, harassment and retaliation against Les Moonves. "The actions described in this article are those of sexual assault and shame on anyone else in the corporation who knew about his crimes".
