The man in question is reportedly 30-year-old Chris Young, who is now approaching his tenth year served on a life sentence for cocaine and marijuana possession in Tennessee.

She was previously on the Wrongful Conviction podcast where she said that she spoke with Young and promised to help free him.

And, he added, it gave Kardashian the chance to press the White House to consider another case in which she has taken an interest: Chris Young, who was sent to prison for life after a string of convictions on non-violent drug charges. "He's 30 years old". One week later Trump granted the 63-year-old clemency, freeing her from prison after a more than a two-decade stint on drug charges.

Per the site, Kardashian said Young was sentenced to life in prison without parole for possession of marijuana and half a gram of cocaine following his arrest in 2010 because of mandatory-sentencing regulations.

The Dallas Morning News reported in June that Brittany K. Barnett, who was a member of Johnson's legal team, was also working to get Young released.

The reality TV star was back at the White House and among the attendees of a "listening session about the clemency process", according to a Wednesday pool report.

Trump, without being asked or lobbied, in April pardoned Lewis "Scooter" Libby, the chief of staff to former Vice President Dick Cheney who was involved in the leak probe of Central Intelligence Agency agent Valerie Plame; that pardon was seen as sending a signal to Paul Manafort and others snared by Special Counsel Robert Mueller's Russian Federation probe.

The mother of three retweeted Buried Alive Project's story about Young to her 58 million followers Tuesday, a move Kardashian made when she began her involvement with Johnson in 2017. "Drugs, $10,000, and a gun were found in the man's auto". Young was sentenced to life in prison in 2014 for his role in a large cocaine distribution conspiracy.
