Friends prank McDonalds with poster kept up for 51 days

'They had other races, but no Asians so we felt like it was our duty to put ourselves up there, ' Maravilla said.

Maravilla shared pictures of his and Toledo's handiwork on Twitter Sunday, writing, "It's now been 51 days since I hung it up".

'Asian representation in media is not as prevalent as it should be, ' Maravilla said. Maybe we can change that, ' " Maravilla said in a video he and his friends uploaded on YouTube, explaining how they went about accomplishing the daring feat.

University of Houston student Jevh Maravilla, 21, and his friend Christian Toledo had been eating at their local McDonald's in Pearland several times a week for about a month when they chose to "improve" a blank wall above their usual table.

Something tells me that this is SO good, we'll see this poster in McDonald's stores nationwide.

Nike Kaepernick campaign to kick off Thursday during National Football League opener
Wilson, who has a contract with Nike, also applauded the company's deal with Kaepernick. This week, Nike revealed it made Kaepernick the face of its campaign.

The two friends pose in front of their poster.

They edited the photo and ordered a large poster print from Office Depot for a little more than $80.

From the video, it didn't look like they even noticed. "I hope this can open the eyes to not just McDonald's, but other major companies can embrace different ethnicities", Maravilla told CNN.

Amazingly, they arrived in the restaurant, put the poster up and left without any real McDonald's staff member coming to question them.

So far, McDonald's has not responded to a request for a statement but the friends have high hopes for their response. He pointed out the many posters within the establishment, noticing that there were no Asian models in any of them. The best way to do this, they figured, was for Maravilla to disguise himself as a McDonald's employee. "We applaud these students' creativity and hope to see them in our restaurants again soon". It would be, like, a dream come true'.
