Vimeo Removes Alex Jones, Infowars Content From Site, Issues Refund

Apple, Facebook, YouTube, and others have already taken steps against the company, some removing content and some banning the outlet altogether. On Thursday and Friday, however, InfoWars uploaded over 50 new videos and hours of aggregate footage.

However, email provider MailChimp notified InfoWars last week that its "accounts have been terminated for violating our Terms of Service, which make it clear that we don't allow people to use our platform to disseminate hateful content". The social media site has been resolute in its failure to ban Jones; CEO Jack Dorsey maintains that Jones "hasn't violated our rules" - a position that's garnering anger from potential protestors.

On August 7, Jones, speaking on the Real.Video platform, took issue with his bans, which he called a "concerted plan to erase my electronic identity".

Since being banned from livestreaming on YouTube, Jones has been streaming on Twitter and posting videos to Vimeo.

Trump's campaign is filing an arbitration action against her as well, alleging a breach of a secrecy agreement. She has also claimed that she heard a recording of Trump using the "n-word", something that he denies.

Dorsey will talk with NBC Nightly News anchor Lester Holt about InfoWars in an interview scheduled to air Wednesday night.

The video service deleted the right-wing conspiracy theory's account Sunday night, the latest blow for Alex Jones. However, it ended up deleting some of Jones' and Infowars' posts. Twitter threads have emerged instructing users to block the firm's most lucrative advertisers, in a bid to put pressure on the platform to oust Jones.

Users of the microblogging site have criticised the decision, arguing that Twitter is "protecting the hate, violence and bigotry" of Jones and his associated accounts. The content was reviewed by the platform's Trust and Safety team and a violation of Vimeo's terms of service was found in just 48 hours. For example, Jones has made multiple claims that the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting was a government hoax, prompting lawsuits against the Infowars host.
