United Kingdom preparing to ask Moscow for Novichok suspects

United Kingdom preparing to ask Moscow for Novichok suspects

The Guardian reports that Britain wants Russian Federation to extradite two men over the Skripal nerve-agent case. The British investigation earlier reported that two of the alleged poisoner had to flee to Russian Federation.

We will remind that not so long ago, the investigators on the case about poisoning of the former GRU officer Sergei Skripal and his daughter Julia in British Salisbury showed key witnesses a photo of a possible suspect.

Britain has accused Russian president Vladimir Putin of personally ordering the attack on the Skripals, a claim denied by Moscow.

At the same time, the news agency reports that Russian Federation "is certain to reject" United Kingdom to provide extradition.

British civil service and security sources told the newspaper that the government had finished preparing the request to the Russian government. It's nearly a rerun of the situation. "The police have managed to identify the people coming over and going back again", a Whitehall source said.

They were found in a serious condition on a bench in The Maltings shopping centre, and the discovery of the substance sparked a city-wide investigation with police having to cordon off large areas, including where they had eaten dinner that evening. The Russian constitution prevents the extradition of Russian citizens to another state.

The rally is expected to mark the organization's one-year anniversary since their deadly rally in Charlottesville, Virginia.

Dawn Sturgess subsequently died from Novichok near Salisbury.

Ms Sturgess died after being exposed to 10 times the amount of nerve agent the Skripals came into contact with.

Britain blamed Russian Federation for the poisonings and identified the poison as Novichok, a deadly group of nerve agents developed by the Soviet military in the 1970s and 1980s.

Rowley said he had found a perfume bottle which he gave to Sturgess, which she sprayed on her wrists.

Russian officials refused to hand over the men wanted for the murder of Alexander Litvinenko with a rare radioactive isotope in 2006.
