Three DJI Mavic 2 Drones Confirmed After Leak

Meanwhile, professionals can look forward to the DJI Mavic 2 Pro which will have Hasselblad-design optics, as well as a larger 1-inch sensor on board.

Information about the new drone has been leaking here and there for a while now but we now have most of our questions answered after United Kingdom retail catalog Argos kind of leaked the details and they're pretty interesting.

With the Mavic 2 Zoom, as the name implies this will feature a camera with 2x optical zoom from 24mm to 48mm.

The leaks emerged after Argos failed to remove pre planned content that was not released due to DJI moving their launch events at short notice. They each have 360-degree collision awareness, but there's no mention of the rumored removable gimbal feature, or what the maximum video recording quality is.

Copy lifted from the image quotes an 8km range, 20m/s flight speed and 31 minutes of flight time - all of which are big improvements from the previous model. It will turn the sky into your creative canvas.

The president has also made the media a bete noir, calling them the "fake news media" and the 'enemy of the people'. He wrote that he was anxious the "hostility" spurred by Trump could eventually result in someone getting hurt.

Now thanks to a render obtained by the folks at Photo Rumors, we have a better idea of what the upcoming drone could look like. Its compact size and 31-minute max flight time makes this one of DJI's most sophisticated flying cameras ever. That omni-directional obstacle sensing also has APAS (Advanced Pilot Assistance Systems) and Active Track 2.0, which appears to be an updated version of DJI's audo-tracking technology that'll allow the drone to automatically follow its pilot. There's also a dolly zoom on the, er, Zoom version. While there's no mention of recording capabilities we can not imagine anything less than 4K.

Pricing and availability have yet to be revealed, but we'll likely know sooner rather than later since Argos chose to include the Mavic 2 already before it was even announced.

Officially speaking, the Mavic 2 doesn't exist.

Leaked last week and now confirmed by DJI to CNET, the Mavic 2 is real, and it's going to come in two very different formats.
