McDonald's new McGold Card contest offers winners free food for life

McDonald's is offering one of the coveted, and mythical "McGold Cards" to one lucky victor, guaranteeing that person free food for life, WCAU-TV (Philadelphia) is reporting.

The fine print of what "free McDonald's for life" really means: enough money to buy up to two meals a week for 50 years, or the equivalent of more than $52,000, according to the company's website.

In order to win the prize, all you have to do is place a mobile order using the McDonald's smartphone app.

McDonald's is about to offer one lucky person a lifetime of free fast food. In both cases, hopefuls are limited to just one entry per day. McDonald's says the victor will be drawn at random and be notified within two days.

In addition to the free food and bragging rights, the victor also gets a custom gold-plated phone case. "You have a much better chance of winning a state lottery than picking something like this up".

McDonald's is shedding the shroud of mystery surrounding the long-rumored and mysterious McGold Card, confirming that the thing of legends and dreams does in fact exist. And all you have to do to enter is order McDonald's through the company's mobile app.

Trump calls for NFL players who protest national anthem to be suspended
Trump took notice of a small number of players who protested during the anthem in various ways. "Stay strong brothers!" the tweet read.

The victor will be alerted via email or on their McDonald's app.

"One potential victor will be selected from among all eligible Entries received for the entire Entry period, in a random prize drawing on or about August 29, 2018, conducted by an independent organization selected by Sponsor".

The contest is similar to one run by coffee chain Starbucks, which was called Starbucks for Life, only not as generous.

The fast-food giant launched its mobile app in 2015, then added mobile ordering and payment features past year. You will also have to send the burger chain an email to [email protected]amoeentry.com to be considered, which should have the day's date as the subject and simply your first and last names as the body of the email.

The little gold card entitles the cardholder to free food - sometimes for a year, sometimes for life.
