Leonardo: AC Milan can’t afford Lazio’s Sergej Milinkovic-Savic

Manchester United have launched an £89.3m bid to sign Sergej Milinkovic-Savic but Lazio are ready to hold out for closer to £107m for the midfielder, according to reports in Italy via TeamTalk.

The Red Devils initially earmarked him as a replacement for Marouane Fellaini but, when the Belgium worldwide stayed put, they eased off.

Real Madrid, Juventus or Manchester United for Milinkovic-Savic?

"Therefore Pogba is going to have to settle down and get on with the project at Manchester United".

However, with recent talks of Barcelona plotting a move for club record signing Paul Pogba, a new central midfielder might be something that Jose and the club would want to bring in.

But Lazio president Claudio Lotito has now told United they must spend big if they are to secure the player's signature.

National Football League preseason Week 1: Expectations for Baker Mayfield, Saquon Barkley, Andrew Luck
Last year, as a junior at Penn State, Barkley had 1,271 rushing yards and scored 21 touchdowns. Taylor will start under center, though not expected to stay in the game long.

"So far no one has come forward".

As noted by La Stampa, Juventus are also interested in the 23-year-old, while Calciomercato recently linked him with Chelsea in a potential swap deal involving Charly Musonda. "110 million? Milinkovic-Savic is worth more, because he is much better".

And now, United are looking to rush through with a late offer to try and land the midfielder, as they look to build a squad capable of fighting rivals Manchester City for the Premier League title.

Meanwhile, United legend Ole Gunnar Solksjaer has urged United to keep Pogba.

United are reportedly in the market for another centre-back with several names being linked but it seems they are also searching for a top class midfielder amid strong speculation suggesting Paul Pogba is trying to engineer a move out of Old Trafford this summer.

"I had him with David [Gray] and Etzaz [Hussain] who is playing for me tomorrow".
