Juventus' Cristiano Ronaldo scores goal vs. U20s in first appearance

Cristiano Ronaldo has admitted that the choice to move to Juventus from Real Madrid was an "easy decision" for him.

Cristiano Ronaldo scored his first goal for Juventus today, albeit in the pre-season friendly, against a Juventus B team.

The 33-year-old is expected to make his debut for Massimiliano Allegri's men in a friendly match on Sunday against a Serie B team in Villar Perosa.

Such was the dominance of the Agnellis over the town that deceased former club chairman Gianni Agnelli was mayor between 1945 and 1980.

Come the half-time whistle, Ronaldo shot off the pitch - followed by one ambitious fan who had to be held off by security after dashing towards and trying to hug his new hero - and towards delirous fans waiting near the dressing rooms, for whom he patiently signed autographs and posed for selfies. Ronaldo was mobbed as fans attempted to grab a selfie with him.

Spurs boss Pochettino saluted his players for refusing to be distracted and called on supporters and the squad to stay together. The presence of Joselu in the line-up is often cited as evidence by the Toon Army that new strikers are needed around the club.

The match was called off after 72 minutes due to the annual tradition of fans running onto the pitch.

Ronaldo joined the team for training on Wednesday after their return from the International Champions Cup in the United States.

In 2017/18, Ronaldo was his usual dominant self in Europe as he smashed 15 goals to top the Champions League scoring charts and fired Real Madrid to continental glory for the third straight year.

You can't help but be excited at Ronaldo's arrival in the Italian capital.

Juventus kick off their Serie A title defence at Chievo next Saturday and all eyes will be on Cristiano Ronaldo to see if he can replicate his incredible La Liga goalscoring form in Serie A. Spoiler, he probably can.
