Gary Neville reacts to Paul Pogba's 'weird' penalty

Gary Neville reacts to Paul Pogba's 'weird' penalty

Paul Pogba's freaky "slow motion" run-up for his penalty may have come as a surprise to Manchester United fans at Old Trafford last night but a few may have remembered it's a technique he regularly uses - notably doing it in an FA Youth Cup quarter final away at Anfield as a 17-year old with a very different outcome.

Pogba, 25, ended a turbulent week in which he was linked with Barcelona by starring as United's captain in their 2-1 Premier League victory over Leicester on Friday night - his first game since helping France become world champions.

"We saw the downtrodden Jose Mourinho last season and the difference was that they didn't win anything".

Luke will also still have some time before Ashley Young is fully match-fit so there's hopes he can solidify his spot before that happens.

Pogba is unhappy about Mourinho's suggestion that his World Cup success was due to being "isolated" and better able to concentrate on his football.

"So, obviously it's easier to go and speak and express yourself, and we went for an objective and the big one was to win".

Asked if he was happy and comfortable, Pogba replied: 'There are things I can not say, otherwise I will get fined'.

Several fake Trump stars reportedly appear on Hollywood Walk of Fame
Fake stars bearing Donald Trump 's name have popped up on the Hollywood Walk of Fame after his original one was vandalized. The artists, spending about $1,000, printed the stars on sheets of floor vinyl with adhesive backing.

Pogba's penalty two minutes was, what I guess you can say, weird?

"We should start the Premier League with a win and we did today. We knew it was going to be hard because some of us, including myself, didn't have any pre-season games". "Like I always say, I always give my best for the fans, for my team-mates, for the people that trust me".

"You can't then start saying the philosophy's changed a few years in otherwise you've got the wrong manager."

"I made a decision to take it, I was one of the names and in the next game, I can leave it to Alexis, it's not a problem".

There was a fantastic atmosphere inside the ground because United were playing the kind of football their fans want to see and showing them something they had not seen for a long time, which was a bit of a spark.

"After 30 minutes I was out of breath and I told one of the staff to put some water on the side, but he didn't, so I couldn't go and drink".

"Of course the boys with the proper pre-seasons, they were in much better condition", Mourinho said.
