Nuggets sign Isaiah Thomas

Despite the dramatic phrasing, it wasn't an unreasonable demand by Thomas.

His time in Cleveland didn't last long as he was traded to the Los Angeles Lakers at February's deadline.

No player tanked their value as a free agent more over the past year than Isaiah Thomas. The Celtics reached the Eastern Conference Finals that year but a hip injury kept Thomas sidelined as LeBron James, Kyrie Irving and the Cavs advanced to the NBA Finals.

Thomas has been working his way back from a procedure on his hip and if he rebounds on the court this season, he could provide a strong option for the Nuggets while reestablishing his value before becoming a free agent again. Thomas nearly exclusively came off the bench, scoring 15.6 points per game in 17 games with the Lakers.

Added to this is an 8.3 mm thin design , and a device that tips the scale at 521.6 grams sans detachable keyboard cover. Industry watchers expected the device, dubbed the Surface Mini, to be released in 2014, but it never materialized.

In a series of posts on his IG story, the All-NBA guard posted images of his stats from his terrific 2016-17 season and wrote that people are "so quick to forget!"

ESPN first reported Thomas's signing.

The report states the deal is for the league's veteran minimum. The deal is for one year and will pay Thomas $2 million. He likely will come off the bench in Denver, where he'll have a chance to be a lead scorer for the second unit, giving the Nuggets a boost when their starters are out.

Thomas likely sees this as a potential bridge season for him to prove that he's healthy and still capable of being the player he was for the Boston Celtics two seasons ago.
