Thomas Lemar on brink of Atletico Madrid move as Monaco agree deal

Thomas Lemar on brink of Atletico Madrid move as Monaco agree deal

Atletico Madrid and France star Antoine Griezmann confirmed he would announce his future in the coming days.

"But Antoine will remain in Spain, that much is clear, so no worries".

Lemar is now on global duty with France at the World Cup, and will link up with his new team-mates after the tournament once the deal is officially confirmed.

But he told a news conference: "I apologise - I am really very sorry".

For the first time in his career, the former Real Sociedad man will lead the Les Bleus' line for the first time in Russian Federation, having been a bit-part player back in 2014.

Players will take the role of BJ Blaskowicz's twin daughters. It's a sequel to Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus . The game will be released sometime during 2019.

The 22-year-old will sign a deal with the club and put to an end speculation regarding his future, after being previously linked with Liverpool and Arsenal.

France coach Didier Deschamps prohibits players from undergoing negotiations during tournaments, pushing Griezmann towards making a decision.

Monaco have already sold Fabinho to Liverpool this month, and they are set to make further profit with the sale of Lemar.

"It's good that you're taking an interest", Griezmann said after France's 1-1 friendly draw with the United States.

Barca's pursuit has angered Atletico, who in December reported them to Federation Internationale de Football Association for making an alleged illegal approach and followed up with a statement in May that said "enough is enough". Some reports had pointed to Lemar's arrival as a key factor in whether Griezmann would return to the club or leave for Barcelona this summer.
