Putin calls for boosting trade ties among SCO members

Speaking at an global summit in the Chinese city of Qingdao on Sunday, Rouhani said the US' withdrawal from the Iran nuclear deal poses a potential threat to the world.

In a statement issued by 6 of the 7 countries at the G-7, they said that together they were a larger economic powerhouse than the United States.

"As for Russia's return to the G7, or G8: we did not leave it".

Xi met one-on-one with Iranian counterpart Hassan Rouhani on Sunday following a two-day regional security summit in the eastern Chinese city of Qingdao that also included Russian Federation and former Soviet republics. Juncker added that the European Union is open to beginning a dialogue with Russian Federation, "but in other ways" that do not concern ending the sanctions regime until Moscow's ends its occupation of large parts of eastern Ukraine and the Crimean Peninsula.

Speaking at a joint press point with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi in Brussels on June 1, the European Union's foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini said the bloc and China share commitment to preserve the nuclear agreement and to work for its continuation.

Xi also hailed the entry of new members of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, calling the presence of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Pakistani President Mamnoon Hussain "of great historic significance" in opening remarks at the weekend summit in the northern Chinese port of Qingdao.

Founded in 2001, the Beijing-based SCO has largely served as a vehicle for resolving border issues, fighting terrorism and - more implicitly - to counter American influence in Central Asia following its invasion of Afghanistan.

Trump gives relationship with G7 countries 10 out of 10
Trump had bilateral meetings on Friday with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and French President Emmanuel Macron . He said the trade deficits that the USA faces "with virtually every country in the world" is the fault of past leaders.

The Russian government's representative in Crimea, Georgy Muradov, extended an invitation to Salvini to visit the occupied peninsula, the Kremlin-controlled TASS news outlet reported.

Putin says "Russia welcomes the planned summit of the US and North Korea and notes China's big contribution to helping settle the crisis on the Korean Peninsula".

The statement made no mention of US President Donald Trump's insistence that the G7 would be better off if it brought Russian Federation back into the fold despite its expulsion in response to its 2014 annexation of Crimea.

Chinese leader Xi Jinping called for the Iran nuclear deal to be "earnestly" implemented as he met the country s president following the USA withdrawal from the pact, state media said Monday. The two South Asian nations joined the bloc as full members previous year.

Putin said that Washington's decision to exit the agreement could "destabilize the situation" in the region.

However, US President Donald Trump announced on May 8 that Washington was walking away from the nuclear agreement, vowing to reinstate nuclear sanctions on Iran and impose "the highest level" of economic bans on the Islamic Republic. He added that Moscow will continue to honour its obligations under the Iranian nuclear deal.
