Tepper expected to sign deal to buy Panthers

Tepper expected to sign deal to buy Panthers

A source confirmed to ESPN that the Panthers will be sold for $2.2 billion.

It's the highest an National Football League franchise has gone for, after the Buffalo Bills sold for $1.4 billion in 2014, and it ties the record price a sports franchise sold for when the Houston Rockets went for $2.2 billion. The NBA's Houston Rockets also sold for $2.2 billion in 2017. Plus, Tepper can use the sale of his minority stake to help finance this deal, giving him another quick route to revenue.

The next step for Tepper. league owners would vote to approve the sale later this month - it's pretty much just a formality at this point. He will have to give up that stake to become the Panthers' majority owner.

The Panthers, of course, were put up for sale after sexual harassment allegations surfaced against owner Richardson.

Richardson has been the only majority of the Panthers. What will he do with the 13-foot tall Jerry Richardson statue?

We're all hoping Liverpool win the Champions League, says Brighton boss
They are used to playing in games like this. "We are lucky that we can give them one if we win". Turns out, however, that he had positive things to say to Salah.

On the evening of December 17, Richardson announced in a public letter that he would sell the team after the season. Navarro is the CEO of Sherman Financial Group.

Tepper visited Charlotte in early April to take a tour of Bank of America Stadium. Richardson's investment group paid $206 million for the club, according to Forbes, after he was unanimously awarded a team by the league's owners on October 26, 1993.

These things sometimes come with house-cleaning, and new owner David Tepper will arrive with experience and his own plans that he has been devising for years.

Tepper, age 60, has risen to be one of the world's richest hedge-fund managers since he founded Appaloosa Management in 1993.
