Scared Delta passengers forced to evacuate plane after smoke pours into cabin

Video shows passengers using the plane's emergency slides and exits over the wing to get out of the aircraft.

A cellphone name to Delta was not instantly returned Tuesday night time. No injuries were reported from smoke inhalation, DIA said, but it was unclear if anyone was injured while getting off the plane.

A flight attendant instructed passengers to crouch low to the ground and cover their mouths while cabin crew deliberated their next move should be.

153 Guests aboard a Delta Airlines jet were compelled in a crisis evacuation minutes after landing on the headquarters of Denver International Airport. "Thank goodness for the passengers who take care of things", passenger Rachel Naftel wrote on Twitter.

Seattle Mariners' James Paxton no-hits Toronto Blue Jays
Paxton's season has taken off since a bald eagle mistakenly landed on his shoulder before a start last month. Anthony Alford fouled out on the first pitch to begin the ninth and Teoscar Hernandez struck out swinging.

Passenger photos and accounts portray a more chaotic scene, including criticism of how the Delta crew handled the incident, which one woman said left "everybody dizzy".

A Delta Airlines spokeswoman told CBS4 that the source of the smoke was the hydraulic fluid that dripped onto the auxiliary power unit while the plane was taxing to the gate.

A DIA spokesperson confirmed to News 5 that minor injuries were reported after passengers evacuated from the plane around 8:30 p.m. "As it was taxiing, smoke was reported in the cabin so the aircraft was safely evacuated. I mean, now that I think about it, it was like, what if this would have happened in the air".
