The Mumbai event also witnessed the launch of the India-exclusive Avengers edition of the phone. To recap, OnePlus 6 will come in three colours and three RAM and storage variants.

The major highlight of the OnePlus 6 is the all new glass body. The last is only available with the OnePlus 6 Marvel Avengers Limited Edition right now, but this could change in the future.

OnePlus and Disney have partnered up to launch the special Marvel Avengers limited edition of the OnePlus 6.

The OnePlus 6 will start selling in India on from 21st May for Amazon Prime members and in an open sale from May 22. The Avengers edition will go up for sale a bit later on May 29, while the Silk White option is set to arrive around June 5. It will also be available via the OnePlus online store in India.

OnePlus offers the smartphone in three variants based on RAM and storage.

The smartphone will be available in variant only, with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. The alert slider button comes in Golden color in this limited edition device. The only thing which was left to be announced by OnePlus is the price which also determines its competition and the segment it falls into. Launch offers include a Rs. 500 discount coupon, MobiKwik cashback, no cost EMI plans, Jio cashback, and exchange discounts. It is claimed by OnePlus as one of its fastest phones that comes with Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC along with Android 8.1 Oreo with Oxygen OS on top. The rear camera is 16-megapixel with a F1.7 lens while front camera is 20-megapixel and has a F2 lens. The setup comes with dual-LED flash, OIS, EIS, and f/1.7 aperture.

For security, the handset comes with a fingerprint sensor which unlocks it in 0.2 seconds and face unlock feature which does the same in 0.4 seconds.

The 6GB RAM/64GB storage variant of the phone costs Rs. 34,999 ($517), while the 8GB RAM/128GB storage variant will be available for Rs. 39,999 ($591).

The battery has a capacity of 3300 mAh with fast charging Dash Charge. The 3.5 mm headphone jack remains. OnePlus 6 also supports the new Android P Beta from Google. The display ends up with an aspect ratio of 19:9 and not to mention, a PPI density figure of 402.

The 16MP front shooter has EIS and supports Portrait mode powered bu advanced AI algorithm to correctly judge the depth of field (DoF). Additionally, the phone comes with 128GB of inbuilt storage and a 3400mAh battery. The OnePlus 6 includes all standard connectivity features like Bluetooth, NFC, Wi-Fi but unfortunately, misses out on wireless charging despite the glass back.
