The Turkish president on Monday condemned the developents in Gaza describing Israeli violence against Palestinian protests as a "genocide", APA rpeorts quoting Anadolu Agency.

"Unfortunately, the US has arrogantly stood by the Israeli administration which kills civilians and has partnered in this crime against humanity", Prime Minister Binali Yildirim told reporters in Ankara.

The Palestinian protests will be continued on Tuesday, too as the culmination of the "Nakba" commemoration is near.

At least 55 Palestinians were killed by Israeli army gunfire on Monday - and thousands more injured - during anti-occupation rallies along the Gaza Strip's eastern border, according to the Palestinian Health Ministry.

"Israel is a terrorist state", said Erdoğan.
