Zlatan Ibrahimovic scores on first LA Galaxy start

Zlatan Ibrahimović recently made a high-profile move to LA Galaxy, and the Swedish star has wasted no time making an impact for the Major League Soccer club.

The former Manchester United striker was named in the starting XI for the first time in Galaxy's MLS clash with Chicago Fire on Saturday.

The ex-Manchester United striker retired from worldwide following Euro 2016, and played no part in Sweden's successful qualifying campaign for the tournament in Russian Federation.

Rumours of an global return, however, have been growing, and on Sunday Ibrahimovic suggested that he may well make an appearance in Russian Federation.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has dropped a huge hint that he is bound for this summer's World Cup after saying chances of playing for Sweden in Russian Federation are "skyhoga", which is Swedish for "sky-high".

The LA Galaxy striker is Sweden's all-time top goalscorer with 62 goals in 116 appearances for his country in a spell that stretches from 2001 to 2016.

Ibrahimovic has not played for Sweden since the European Championships in France two years ago, where they finished rock bottom of their group after collecting just one point.
