Seahawks reportedly sign former Raiders K Sebastian Janikowski

Janikowski could be a serviceable kicker for Seattle, which has had its struggles finding a reliable leg in the past two seasons.

The Seattle Seahawks have officially signed free agent and longtime Raiders kicker Sebastian Janikowski, as initially reported by NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that it is a one-year deal. Georgio Tavecchio performed well for the Raiders this past season as a replacement for Janikowski, whose back injury forced him to miss the entire 2017 season. He's broken a slew of kicking records, and holds the record for most games played as a Raider. During his tenure in Oakland, Janikowski set an National Football League record with 55 field goals from 50 yards or longer.

TESS , an MIT-led mission, is expected to discover thousands of Earth-size planets outside our solar system, known as exoplanets . They're also some of the coldest places ever measured in Earth's solar system.

Former Raiders kicker Sebastian Janikowski has found a new home.

Blair Walsh had a disappointing stint as Seattle's kicker last spring and wasn't retained. Prior to that, he spent 17 years with the Raiders, knocking down 80.4 percent of his field goal attempts and 98.9 percent of his extra points. Seattle signed former Jaguar Jason Myers earlier this offseason, so Janikowski will have competition to make the roster.

In joining the Seahawks, Janikowski will work with a familiar face in Brian Schneider, who was the Raiders special teams coach from 2007-08.
