CWG 2018: Joshna Chinappa, Dipika Pallikal Karthik claim squash silver

Defending champions Dipika Pallikal and Joshna Chinappa stormed into the final of women's doubles category while Dipika and Saurav Ghosal clinched silver in the mixed doubles of the squash competition at the 21st Commonwealth Games here on Saturday.

The going was tough for the Indians right from the start against the hard-hitting New Zealand pair of Joelle King and Amanda Landers-Murphy and they ended up with a silver after an 11-9, 11-8 loss.

"It's great that we could be in the finals, we had a great chance to win". The New Zealanders played really well, we had a few bad calls.

King and Landers-Murphy beat Australians Rachael Grinham and Donna Urquhart 2-0 (11-9, 11-5) in the other semi-final. I felt it could have changed whole scenario of the match if those decisions were fair. "We still managed to get a silver after the gold in Glasgow", said Joshna.

$0.87 EPS Expected for AT&T Inc
Foster & Motley Inc has invested 0.41% of its portfolio in International Business Machines Corporation (NYSE:IBM). The firm has a market capitalization of $256.84 billion, a price-to-earnings ratio of 19.92 and a beta of 0.39.

However, the early advantage they had given up proved too much to overcome as they lost the first game 9-11.

"It's sad to see, the players and game are growing, but the officials they're not growing at all".

Going by the number of medals, it was India's best ever performance at the Games ever since the sport was introduced way back in 1998. This is his third Commonwealth Games singles medal after winning bronze at the 2010 Games and gold in the 2006 edition.

Pallikal is also in contention to win a gold medal in women's doubles alongside Joshna Chinappa.
