YouTube for iOS Launches 'Dark Theme', Now Live in Canada

Our first hint of serious work towards a dark mode for YouTube landed last fall, when we saw signs of a dark theme for the app's video-playback panel. According to The Verge, a Dark Mode will now also come to the YouTube app for both iOS and Android. However, much like how a simple cup-holder in a vehicle can make or break a sale, a dark theme will prove a popular addition to the YouTube mix.

You have to jump through hoops to access the feature on desktop via the developer mode, but on mobile, things are a lot simpler.

Shia LaBeouf on His Arrest and Racist Rant: 'IF*cked Up'
LaBeouf was in Savannah working on the film The Peanut Butter Falcon . "White privilege and desperation and disaster... And finally, "I fucked up". "Around the same time, I took my mother to his concert", LaBeouf tells me.

For those on iOS, though, the dark theme is pretty easy to switch on: Simply tap the account icon, tap the settings option, and find the option for dark theme. "Dark theme", and letting you toggle it on right away. Well like we said, right now the mobile roll-out has only just begun, and so far it's only hitting iOS-this follows the desktop launch of dark mode a year ago.
