PUBG's latest anti-cheat update causes games to crash

The official PUBG help Twitter account began by acknowledging that players have been having issues and that they have been aware of the situation.

PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds (PUBG) has received its latest update on Xbox One, delivering an assortment of fixes to its Xbox Game Preview version. "Unfortunately, there's been an adjustment in our plans, but we will be sure to give an update on this at a later time". PUBG Corp provided some information on how to resolve issues in the roll-back notice, and added: "We know that some players are having compatibility issues, causing the game to crash, or are unable to launch the game".

This has resulted in a series of negative reviews on Steam, as players vented their frustrations. Presumably a solution couldn't be found, causing the developer to roll back the update.

Slovakia's Interior Minister resigns over murdered journalist
Kalinak is the second minister from the Smer party to resign since the killings, following Culture Minister Marek Madaric. Troskova and another Fico aide have both stepped down for the duration of the investigation.

The PUBG Help Twitter account tweeted this morning to say that "despite [the patch's] effectiveness in blocking cheats, we have made a decision to roll back our latest server update". Following the update, players will be able to use 12 different emotes; PUBG Corp. says it will further expand the system with more emotes in the future. "We apologize for the inconvenience".

And speaking of PUBG updates, the game has just been given a new patch on Xbox One. Other issues addressed affect parachute deployment and several in-game sounds.
