Legendary Bob Mackie will design costumes for 'The Cher Show' musical

Mackie has been a longtime collaborator with Cher, designing costumes for her own shows as well as for awards show appearances.

The show's creative team will also include Tony-Award winning set designer Christine Jones (Harry Potter and the Cursed Child and American Idiot), set designer Brett Banakis (The Glass Menagerie), Tony Award-winning lighting designer Kevin Adams (Hedwig and the Angry Inch and American Idiot), and sound designer Nevin Steinberg (Hamilton and Dear Evan Hansen).

Mackie is part of the design team announced today by producers Flody Suarez and Jeffrey Seller. The production is directed by Tony Award nominee Jason Moore, with choreography by Tony Award victor Christopher Gattelli and orchestrations, arrangements and musical supervision by Tony Award victor Daryl Waters.

The new musical, which will premiere in Chicago on June 12, follows Cherilyn Sarkisian La Piere Bono Allman (yes, that is Cher's full name) all the way from childhood to superstardom, while singing her hit songs and looking fabulous while doing it. Mackie released sketches of three of the costumes yesterday, and seemed excited to get to work on more. The teenage phenom who crashes by 20. The rock goddess with a hundred million records sold. The legend who's done it all, still scared to walk onstage. Cher's classic songs will make up the score. The wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend.

Harry Styles' Song 'Medicine' Hints at Bisexuality, Some Fans Claim
Although he's dated women such as Taylor Swift and Kendall Jenner , many of his supporters believe that he is a bisexual man. This isn't the first time Harry Styles has talked about his sexuality, however.

This fall, The Cher Show, a jukebox musical based on the life of legendary performer Cher, will premiere at the Neil Simon Theatre in NY. The ultimate survivor, chasing her dream.

The Cher Show comes to Broadway this fall. "It seems insane, exciting and weird - but that's probably how my life seems to most people", Cher said in a statement when the show was first announced.

Casting will be announced at a later date.
