Kashmiri separatist Asiya Andrabi celebrates Pakistan Day in Srinagar

Dukhtaran-e-Millat allegedly celebrated Pakistan Day in Srinagar with party chief Asiya Andrabi saying that all Muslims in the sub-continent are Pakistanis.

During the programme, firebrand (DeM) chief and her supporters sang the national anthem of Pakistan and hoisted neighbouring country's flag. "Pakistan was not formed on basis of a nationality (like India), Islam is the basis of its foundation.Every Muslim is a Pakistani on the basis of Islam, Iman (faith), Quran and love for Prophet Muhammad", she said.

Andrabi allegedly organised a gathering on Friday at her residence comprising of Muslim women at Awantabhowan, Soura in Srinagar to celebrate the Pak National Day.

"We 'have registered a case against Dukhtaran-e-Milat over a video which has gone viral, " a top police official said. They also raised slogans like, "Pakistan humara hain" along with Andrabi.

"It has come to the notice of the police about certain unlawful acts of DeM outfit through social media videos and other reliable sources where they have indulged in acts inviting penal provisions for offences under various sections of UA (P) Act", said a spokesman of the police in a statement. Pakistan Day is also known as Pakistan Resolution Day is a national holiday in Pakistan commemorating the Lahore Resolution passed on 23 March 1940. She had been booked in the past for celebrating Pakistan Day in 2015 under the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act. As per reports, Andrabi was addressing party workers during a programme organized to commemorate "Pakistan Day".
