Annual egg hunt, summer activities planned in city

The Warrensburg Parks and Recreation kicks off Easter weekend with three "EGG " cellent egg themed events.

The city recreation department and commission are gearing up for the annual Christy Haberstroh Easter Egg Hunt, set for 2 p.m. March 24 at Brandon Park, with a rain date of March 31.

Overflow parking is available at the First Christian Church at the corner of Columbus Street and North Walnut Street. It'll be an afternoon for the whole family. Afterward, hop out to the courtyard where children 15 and under can hunt for more than 2,000 Easter eggs beginning at 4:30 p.m. The deadline to register is March 28.
