Mourinho Admits He Could Sell United Star, This Month

The 29-year-old's future has been the subject of intense speculation as a result of his failure to nail down a place in Jose Mourinho's plans at Old Trafford.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Chris Smalling, Ander Herrera and Marcus Rashford were among the smiling faces pictured in the snap as United gear up for their return to Premier League action against Stoke on Monday night.

United's players and coaches were greeted with rain shortly after landing in Dubai with Mourinho taking to Instagram to joke about the weather. He was replaced at halftime with Romelu Lukaku as he struggled to prise the lower league open, a move that Mourinho deemed as purely tactical after the game.

The Red Devils are believed by some media outlets to be in pole position to land Arsenal forward Sanchez after agreeing to meet the Gunners' £35 million asking price - a move which has forced Manchester City to drop their interest in the Chilean star unless they can now land him on a free transfer in the summer. It doesn't matter who. It doesn't matter the prestige, the status.

"I'm not the kind of blind manager, blind in the sense of this player is untouchable, this player we can never sell, I think every player has a price".

"I think every player has a price".

United did not buy a single player in the 2016 or 2017 winter transfer windows, and the only player they picked up in the 2015 January market was back-up goalkeeper Victor Valdes.

"Normally, next summer, we would try again to improve our squad in the different departments, to try to make every department stronger".

"But Mkhitaryan played the last match in the FA Cup against Derby".

If United do land the signing of Alexis Sanchez, it is unknown if he would be a replacement for the missed signing of Perisic from last summer, or whether he then makes next summer's transfer activity that little bit easier.

Also, while mentioning the United's training schedule in Dubai, Mourinho concluded, "It was very good. So Saturday [he is] training, then Sunday [he is] selected and Monday [he will] play".
